Senior Material and
Corrosion Engineer - Operator - Oman - 8-10,000 USD + Housing/Transport
A large Oil company is looking to
for a Senior Material and Corrosion Engineer. This is a permanent position
based inMuscat, Oman; and
will report into the Head Material and Corrosion Engineer.
The main purpose of the job is to
provide material selection and corrosion management advice to Asset and Project
Teams, as a consultant in materials with focus on material/Metallurgic. The
role should provide cost effective material selection and corrosion mitigation
strategies to ensure integrity of materials applied in subsurface and surface
hydrocarbon production, processing and transportation systems through their
life cycle. Additionally, it will provide day to day advice as needed on
materials and corrosion management to operations and project teams.
My client is experiencing strong
opportunities for growth in in sour gas and unconventional oil such as EOR,
Steam and other new technology recovery techniques that are strategic to the
company. This role will be working on projects with a value of over $1bn
annually and for the operational asset team North or South will have a direct
annual impact of over $500m on CAPEX/OPEX budgets. The total number of direct
customers is 50+.
